"Listen to them... the children of the night... what music they make!" Dracula, Bram Stoker.
I'm reading...The first one
I've started to read two books (for leisure).. and they both seem pretty good: The first one is by Lucia Etxebarria, a Spanish writer, who wrote a biography of Courtney Love a few years ago. This is the 3rd book by her that i read. In English, it is entitled .... well, no, it's not entitled in English because it doesn't seem to have been translated (yet?)... it's such a shame for you readers....
Anyway... Her second book "Beatriz et les corps célestes" is quite amazing, very talentedly written and so gripping!!! My advice... if you can read spanish.... go for it! As for this one .... I'll let you know when i am done with it. The second one is by a French writer (i assume he is French.... no offense)... It is a collection of short "articles" about various whimsical facts and thoughts, as far as i can tell for now. But the author always has a peculiar but fascinating view on life that makes me think that this is going to be good!
Werber also wrote "Empire of the Ants" (which i haven't read, but i've heard it's very good), and among others "Les Thanatonautes", which doesn't seem to have been translated into English yet either: It is about the discovery by men of a new continent, the continent of the Dead, which they will explore. It gives an interesting point of view on Death. Definitely a read worth it!
