It seems to me that some people are so much luckier than others in life (and i'm only considering here the situation of people living in our lucky wealthy countries -- thus making an indecent post to those who suffer so much more in countries where there are oppressions, tortures, wars, starvation, child labour and the like... I just want to say that i'm not forgetting them, despite the obvious selfishness of the following post)....
So... there are the lucky ones... those who did not have to live through the death of their parents, who are even lucky enough to see that their parents indeed love each other and are not still together just for the sake of it, or for the sake of their children, or because they are cowards and dare not take the responsability of a divorce.... those who are successful in their studies and who just find an interesting and well-paid job after they are done, and can then settle in life as easily as it is to breathe, buy a house, have children... and so on.... and so forth.... It may sound unbelievable, but i know quite a few for whom life is as sweet and soft as a marshmallow.... And i wonder.... "what the hell did they do to get it so easy?" .... or.... "What the hell did i do to get it harder than them?"... and after considering that there are some people even more miserable than i am... "why the hell are some people 'worse-off' than the most miserable person i know?"
Is there a place where you can buy a ticket to an easy life? to happiness? How much does is cost? Where the hell is that ticket booth?
Why does life make people so unequal as regards all human aspects? Freedom, work, social rights, health, love, family history...?
Is there like a category of people who deserve to be happier than others? On what standards? What are you expected to do to deserve it? To follow a simple path? To forget your dreams and ambitions? Or to pursue them?
... and then... does life get any better? For how long before fate devastates you once again ... and maybe for good ?
So many inexplicable inequalities i find revolting, and even more so because there seems to be nothing to abolish them! Can anyone live happily with this in mind?
